I'm not gonna hide who I am...

My textiles projects is based on tattoos, covering them and the views that different people have on them...
Its incredible to see how much negativity there is towards tattoos. I mean c'mon were in the 21st century, everyone has them nowadays.

Yes I know that I was young when I had my tattoos, (I have four in total) but for the duration that I have had them I dont regret them.

I've had some really bad comments off people that have seen them, like you've ruined your body you should be ashamed of yourself... I just think 'look its my body, and I do what the hell I wanna do to it'...

When I was doing a bit of researching today I came across a very amusing question...

CHRISTIAN'S: Is it true if we or I get a tattoo i'll go to Hell?

Once me and my God-Sisters we're talking about Tattoo's and I want on so bad when I'm older you know? Anyway my dad said they're not good for you and my God-Mom said "The Bible says don't mark yourself" because the ink will never come off and it's take years and when your old like 100 the tat will be all wrinkly. I really want one they seem pretty cool depends on the style I want.

Well if you go to hell when you get a tattoo theres definately gonna be some colourful people down there :)

 

If you want a tattoo get one!!! And yes they do hurt... Its a needle! xD

How To Save A Life...

Never really thought a personal project in photography would get to me like this one has...
To start with it was a good idea, but did I honestly think I would be brave enough to actually do it that was the question.
I knew that I would have to bring my past back to life... the painful memories of my brother being diagnosed and all the time it took to come to terms with it.

It feels like I've opened a healed wound...

The practical side of the subject I am really enjoying because its allowing me to photograph my family as how they are now... But the written side is proving difficult...

I decided to write about how life is and was, also getting both my parents and close relatives to write about their experiences. The saddest thing was asking Kyle to write what he likes and dislikes about his condition... It nearly made me cry seeing him write it...

Already I'm getting the reaction I wanted when people look at my book and hopefully it will give people a wider view on life... But its definately proving a tricky subject to work on...

Better yet, make your girlfriend disappear...

Some people really need to take the hint. When a boy's in a relationship, it means he has a girlfriend...
I'm not being a bitch or anything, well I hope I'm not... OMG I feel like such a spoon.

Invaders Must Die...

Don't you just hate sitting in a classroom, when your mind wonders?
I find myself doing that way too much lately... Like today, sat in English Lit trying to focus on stupid Chaucer (not one of my favourite subjects), it's hard enough to learn without my mind taking itself for a walk.

I felt myself snap back into focus, when my teacher shouted my name... Then the embarrasing moment when you have to ask her to repeat whatever it was that she had said... Only to realise that your on the completely wrong page, and not even made any attempt to make any notes for the previous pages. Finally feeling the red rush to my face (that kind of feeling when your put on the spot) and the teacher takes the hint that you've not been paying attention, then moves on to another unfortunate pupil to pick on with the question.

Then like me you sit there for a few more minutes trying to figure out what got you day dreaming in the first place. The only thing that gets my about it, is that it never really kills any time. What seems to be a lifetime of day dreaming actually turns out to be like five minutes, which gets annoying. Especially when you want to get a lesson out of the way. Only now thinking about it I really need to get out of the habbit of just letting my thoughts slip away........
